1:51 p.m. – What Went Right: The Browns moved relatively easily from their 25-yard line to a first-and-goal at the Steelers 4-yard line. The big play on the drive was a 42-yard completions to Rashard Higgins when Justin Layne appeared to lose coverage along the sideline to create a wide open receiver. On first down from the 4-yard line, Minkah Fitzpatrick broke up a pass in the end zone for David Njoku. On second down, Jayrone Elliott stopped Nick Chubb for a 1-yard loss, and then Baker Mayfield threw incomplete to Njoku who was covered tightly by Fitzpatrick. Cody Parkey's 23-yard field goal made the Browns lead 10-0 with 9:45 left in the second quarter.

FIRST QUARTER: Browns 7, Steelers 0

1:33 p.m. – What Went Right: A Mike Tomlin challenge reversed a ridiculously bad call by two officials to award a completed catch to Donovan Peoples-Jones on a play along the sideline in which he clearly was out of bounds, and on the subsequent third-and-11 a short pass to Kareem Hunt gained only 4 yards. After Jamie Gillan's punt, the Steelers started at their 10-yard line.

1:20 p.m. – What Went Wrong: The Steelers went three-and-out on the ensuing possession. Anthony McFarland gained 3 yards on first down, and when the Steelers tried to be a little tricky on second-and-7, Ray-Ray McCloud was stuffed for a 3-yard loss on a modified jet-sweep with Joshua Dobbs in at quarterback. Mason Rudolph was back on third-and-10, but his completion to Vance McDonald came up a yard short of the sticks, and Jordan Berry's second punt traveled 56 yards to put the Browns at their 10-yard line.

1:15 p.m. – What Went Wrong: Six plays after Jordan Berry's punt, the Browns had a 7-0 lead thanks to a 47-yard touchdown run by Nick Chubb that capped the 85-yard drive. Chubb carried three times for 61 yards and the touchdown on the drive, and Baker Mayfield completed 2-of-3 passes on the drive.

1:07 p.m. – What Went Wrong: The Steelers received the opening kickoff, and after Mason Rudolph completed a 13-yard pass to Chase Claypool to convert a third-and-4, he was pressured on the subsequent third down and threw incomplete to JuJu Smith Schuster. After Jordan Berry's punt, the Browns took over at their 15-yard line.

COIN TOSS: Steelers call tails. It's heads. Browns win the toss and defer. The Steelers will get the ball first.
