» MT's first inning woes were back on Friday night, as the Owls plated three after Ryan King threw out a would-be base-stealer for the ninth time this season.
» The bats then went quiet for both teams, as the 3-0 score held for the next five innings.
» Lexi Cushing led off the second with a walk, and Makenzie Hutchinson started the fourth with a single, but neither Blue Raider could advance past second.
» King threw out another Owl on the base path in the fourth inning, marking the second time this season and fourth time in her career catching two runners on the move in a single game.
» MT had its best chance in the sixth, as Summer Burgess and Kelci Hill advanced to second and third, but both Blue Raiders were stranded in scoring position.
» Florida Atlantic added insurance in the sixth with a home run to lead off their half of the frame.
» Lani Rodriguez doubled with two outs in the seventh, but MT failed to extend the game.
» Corrina Dodd got the start and settled in after a rocky first inning. She gave up just three hits in innings 2-6, including the solo homer in the sixth.
» Kailey Ahlstrom entered in the sixth and faced just two batters, inducing a double play and forcing a popout.
