FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Edgewood College Men's Soccer team was shut out, 3-0, in NACC play against Marian University Sunday. The loss drops the Eagles to 0-3-1 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marian University (2-2, 2-2 NACC) struck early in the first half and added two second half goals. The first score came in the 14th minute on a header from Max Kauffman. Cade Klusendorf started the play for the Sabres with a free kick from midfield.
- The final two scores of the game came one after the other from Drew Cowden. Cowden scored his first in the 63rd minute assisted by Chase Hayden. The third and final Sabres goal came from Cowden a minute later, from the left side of the box, assisted by Giuliano Corazzina.
- Edgewood College (0-3-1, 0-3-1 NACC) finished with 10 shots and placed four of those shots on goal. Brian Root fired three shots, only one on goal for the Eagles.
- Brendon Martin collected three saves for the Eagles, through 45 minutes in goal. Kevin Cervantes spent the majority of time in goal for the Sabres, making three saves. Cory Koehler added one save for Marian.

- Edgewood College will play their final home match against MSOE on Wednesday. Action from Edgewood College Field at Reddan Park is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
