ALBERTVILLE, Minn. — The Moorhead Spuds posted a 3-0 boys hockey victory over St. Michael-Albertville on Thursday at STMA Arena.
Gavin Lindberg found the back of the net in the first period to put the Spuds up 1-0. Ian Ness netted a goal in the second frame to push Moorhead's advantage to 2-0. Joe Schiller buried an empty-net goal late in the third to cap the victory for the Spuds. It was his first career goal.
Moorhead goalie Will Kunka earned the shutout.
The Spuds improved to 9-7-1 overall.
