FARMVILLE, Va. – When the temperature turns colder, that just means that Willett Hall is getting warmed up. Basketball is nearly here, and in the latest edition of the What The Elwood podcast, Sam Hovan sat down with Rebecca Tillett to talk about the 2021-22 Lancer women's basketball team.
Throughout the podcast, the two talk about what the women's basketball staff has seen after a couple of scrimmages through the fall. Plus, Tillett describes how she and her staff go through preparation for a scrimmage and how she plans to use a daunting non-conference schedule to once again prepare her squad for Big South play.
Tillett also explains who has stood out so far, what they've done well and where the team can continue to grow as the year goes along. With the team picked to finish third in the Big South preseason poll, the Lancer women have momentum to carry into the season.
