ELKINS — Rachel Felton drove in five runs to lead Tucker County to an 8-0 win over Elkins Thursday at Betty Heckel Field.
Felton had three hits, including a two-run inside-the-park homer, for the Lady Mountain Lions, who are now 12-6 and will host Moorefield at noon Saturday for a doubleheader.
Katelyn Hicks and Katelyn Simmons added three hits each in the win.
Emerson Haddix led the Lady Tigers with two hits.
Paige Shaffer earned the win, allowing just five hits in going all six innings. She struck out seven.
Kylee Cable took the loss as she gave up four runs on six hits.
Elkins (5-12) will host Lewis County at 6 p.m. Monday.
Lincoln 13, Philip Barbour 0
SHINNSTON — Lincoln remained undefeated on the season with a 13-0 win over Philip Barbour in five innings Thursday in Big 10 Conference action.
Delaney Haller pitched a complete-game five-hitter, striking out eight to lead the Lady Cougars (18-0, 14-0 Big 10).
Amanda Reed took the loss, allowing 11 hits.
Hannah Ferris led Lincoln at the plate by going 4 for 4 with three RBIs. Alexis Williams added two RBIs and Haller and Roby two hits apiece.
Sara Simon and Reed had the lone hits for the Lady Colts, who were plagued by eight errors.
Philip Barbour (12-4, 11-3) will be idle until hosting Tucker County at 5 p.m. Monday.
