The Ottawa Senators are on a bit of a roll as of late. The team has won four of their past five appearances, including a dominant 4-0 win over the Tampa Bay Lighting on Saturday.

Brady Tkachuk scored three consecutive goals in this game to help his team pick up a big win against the reigning Stanley Cup champions. He started his night off with a power play goal scored 3:32 into the second period. This goal was assisted by Tim Stützle. Under two minutes later Tkachuk notched another power play goal. This time the assists were credited to Thomas Chabot and Drake Batherson. In the third, Tkachuk finished off his hat trick with an empty-netter.

WASHINGTON 3 BUFFALO 2 SO

3:40 into the first, Lars Eller opened scoring. His goal was assisted by Conor Sheary and T.J. Oshie.

In shootout, Washington came out on top thanks to goals by Daniel Sprong and T.J. Oshie.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen had a good showing in net for the Sabres. He made 40 saves on 42 shots to help his team exit this game with a point.

CHICAGO 4 TORONTO 5

Jonathan Toews opened scoring less than two minutes after puck drop. The assists on this opening goal belonged to Reese Johnson and Connor Murphy.

John Tavares tied the game up 1-1 with a power play goal scored under a minute later. His goal was assisted by Auston Matthews and William Nylander.

Nylander secured a goal of his own 9:14 into the first to put the Leafs up 2-1. His goal was assisted by John Tavares and Timothy Liljegren.

Auston Matthews notched a power play goal 14:32 into the first to put Toronto up 3-1. Ondrej Kase and William Nylander earned assists on the play.

In the second, Pierre Engvall continued to extend the Leafs lead with a goal scored 3:25 into the period. His goal was assisted by Kyle Clifford and Alex Steeves.

Connor Murphy cut the Toronto lead in half with a goal netted 16:31 into the second. Brandon Hagel earned the sole assist on this goal.

MONTREAL 1 ST. LOUIS 4

NEW JERSEY 2 NEW YORK 4

Jesper Bratt opened scoring 17:01 into the first with a goal assisted by Jonas Siegenthaler.

Noah Dobson tied the game up 1-1 just 44 seconds later on the power play. His goal was assisted by Mathew Barzal and Oliver Wahlstrom.

Jack Hughes helped the Devils regain their lead with a goal scored 18:25 into the first. His goal was assisted by Pavel Zacha.

In the second, Andy Greene tied the game up 2-2. His goal was assisted by Mathew Barzal and Josh Bailey.

Zach Parise then notched a short-handed goal to secure the game-winner in this matchup. Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Scott Mayfield tallied assists on the play.
